Police arrest four people in Matthew Penney homicide investigation, Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM), N.S.

HRP/RCMP Integrated Major Crime Unit has arrested four people in relation to the Matthew Penney homicide investigation. Shortly before 8:00 a.m. this morning, officers executed two warrants at residences on Bras'dor Lane and Springhill Road in Dartmouth.

Shortly before 8:00 a.m. this morning, officers executed two warrants at residences on Bras’dor Lane and Springhill Road in Dartmouth.

Two men, ages 27 and 23, along with two women, ages 24 and 23, were taken into custody without incident.

On January 1st, 2014, at approximately 8:23 a.m., RCMP in Lower Sackville received a 911 call indicating a body had been located at the entrance to Oakfield Park. Matthew Anthony Penney, 26, of Dartmouth was identified as the victim of a homicide.

The matter remains under investigation.
