December 8th, 2010, Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) .. Halifax District Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) arrested man for violating the Motor Vehicle Act in Lower Sackville, N.S.
This morning, 7:30 AM , RCMP observed a man driving on the Beaver Bank Road and recognized him as a suspended driver. Further investigation revealed that the driver has over 150 offences under the Nova Scotia Motor Vehicle Act and owes almost one hundred thousand dollars ($100 000) in outstanding fines.
He was arrested by police and his vehicle was seized. The 42-year-old man is currently in police custody and will be appearing in Dartmouth Provincial Court this afternoon to face driving charges under the Criminal Code of Canada and the Nova Scotia Motor Vehicle Act.
