Police Arrest Two on Drug Charges – Beaver Bank

Shortly after 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, members of the Drug Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division executed a search warrant at a Beaver Bank residence.

A man and woman were arrested inside the residence and approximately 260 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, cell phones and cash was seized.

As a result, 34-year-old Darryn Charles Weir of Beaver Bank has been charged with Possession of Marijuana for the Purpose of Trafficking and Breaching Conditions.  A 27 year-old female of Beaver Bank was charged with Possession of Marijuana for the Purpose of Trafficking.

Weir appeared at Dartmouth Provincial Court on Friday, April 15, 2016 and was remanded into police custody.  The woman was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear at Dartmouth Provincial Court on May 18, 2016.
