Police Ask South Enders To Be Vigilant

From Halifax Regional Police:

“Halifax Regional Police is alerting citizens about several incidents where a male suspect has entered insecure residences in the South end of Halifax in the early morning hours when the occupants are asleep.  In all three incidents, the victim has been a female who either lives alone or with other women. Theft does not appear to be his motive for entering the residence.

Members of the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigative Section are seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect. He is described as a white male between 19-25 years old, with short hair and average build.

Anyone who can identify the suspect or who has information about these incidents or similar incidents is asked to contact Halifax Regional Police at 490-5016 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Further, Halifax Regional Police advises the public to ensure their windows and doors, including those located off a fire escape, are kept secured for their safety and to help prevent incidents of this nature from occurring.”
