Police asking assistance locating two missing 15-year-old girls

Update: They have been found safe.

Kings District RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 15-year-old Hali Kennedy and 15-year-old Jasmine VanBrackel, who were last seen on April 8 on Cottage St. in Berwick.

Kennedy is described as 5-foot-3, thin build, has shoulder length blonde hair and blue eyes. Kennedy was wearing a red coat, red and white leggings and black boots at the time of her disappearance.

VanBrackel is described as 5-foot-4, average build, long brown hair and brown eyes. VanBrackel was wearing a blue jacket, black pants and black shoes. She also had an army green backpack with her at the time of her disappearance.

Family members have been in touch with Kennedy and VanBrackel and they are believed to be in the Bridgewater area. The Bridgewater Police Service has been notified and police continue to make efforts to locate both youths.

When someone goes missing, it has deep and far-reaching impacts for the person and those that know them. We ask that people spread the word through social media respectfully.
