Investigators with the Homicide Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are asking for the public’s help in identifying a person of interest in the homicide of 48-year-old Rickey Walker.
On September 1 at approximately 2:50 a.m., a man called Halifax Regional Police to report that he had been shot. Responding officers located the man behind John McNeil Elementary School on Leaman Drive. The man was transported to hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The Medical Examiner ruled his death a homicide.
We are releasing pictures of a man investigators believe was in the area at the time of the incident. Investigators are interested in speaking to this man.
Police are asking this man, or anyone with information about his identity or this incident, to contact police at 490-5020.
