Police canvassing Dartmouth area in relation to Joseph Cameron homicide

Halifax Regional Police is asking for the public’s assistance in connection with the ongoing investigation into the murder of 20-year-old Joseph Douglas Cameron.  On March 29 at approximately 5:20 a.m., officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Spring Avenue and Mount Edward Road in Dartmouth and found Cameron deceased on the sidewalk.   Investigators in the Homicide Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division will be in Dartmouth today handing out and posting flyers asking for the public’s help in solving this homicide. They will be in the areas of Kennedy and Roleika Drives between 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., and Spring Avenue and Mount Edward Road between 2 – 6 p.m. The HRP Incident Command Bus will be present and investigators will be available to speak with anyone who has any information.  Anyone who has information about this incident can also contact police at 902-490-5020.
