Police charge Halifax health care practitioner with two additional sexual assault charges
Investigators with the Sexual Assault Investigative Team (SAIT) of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division have charged a Halifax health care practitioner in connection with two sexual assaults that occurred in 2018 and 2019.
On September 20, 2019, police received a report from a woman who reported that she had been sexually assaulted between February and August 2019 at a Chinese Therapy Acupuncture Clinic located at 206-1535 Dresden Row.
On September 22, 2019, police received a report from another woman who reported that she had been sexually assaulted in February 2019 at the same clinic.
As a result of the investigations, SAIT members arrested a man in Halifax this morning at approximately 6:45 a.m. Xiao Han Li, 32, of Halifax, is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face two counts of sexual assault.
