Police charge man following drug investigation

Police have charged a man with multiple offences in relation to a drug trafficking investigation.

On June 18, investigators in the Guns and Gangs Unit of the Integrated Criminal investigation Division, with the assistance of officers assigned to the Patrol Division, searched an address in the 2000 block of Agricola Street in Halifax in relation to an ongoing drug investigation. Officers arrested a 29-year-old man and seized a quantity of drugs including cocaine, MDMA, cannabis, hydromorphone and clonazepam as well as a quantity of cash.

The man was released to appear in court at a later date to face charges of:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking (x4)
  • Possession for the purpose of distributing of cannabis
  • Possession for the purpose of selling cannabis
  • Possession of property obtained by crime
