Police have charged a Halifax man for child pornography offences that occurred in 2017 and 2018.
On January 8, 2019 police began an investigation after receiving information that a Halifax Man was communicating with a woman located in another province in relation to creating child pornography.
On January 10 investigators in the Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit, of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division conducted a search of an address on Caxton Close in Halifax. Police seized several electronic devices for forensic analysis. The suspect was arrested at a separate address in Halifax a short time later.
Thirty-six-year-old Julien Dugas of Halifax is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial court today to face the following charges:

Police ask anyone with information on child pornography to call police at 902-490-5020 or by using cybertip, Canada’s National Tip Line for reporting online sexual exploitation of children, at www.cybertip.ca.
