Police charge man for making false 911 call

Police have charged a man in relation to providing a false 911 call in Halifax on the weekend.

On June 17, at approximately 11:15 p.m. officers responded to a report of shots being fired in the 300 block of the Bedford Highway. Through the course of the investigation officers were able to determine that no shots had been fired and that the caller had provided false information. The man was arrested without incident.

Cory David Brown, 35, is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court at later date to face one count of mischief.
