On December 12 police received a report of a break and enter into an apartment building on Evans Avenue in Halifax. A man had broken in to the building and stolen cash from the coin-operated laundry equipment.

Police identified the suspect for this incident and connected him to four other similar incidents that had occurred in the area in the last month.

Police located the suspect walking on Evans Avenue at approximately 9:30 p.m. on December 13 and arrested him without incident.

Glen Russell Harnish, 40, of Halifax is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date to face five counts each of break and enter and possession of break-in instruments.
