Police charge man in relation to robbery

Investigators with the General Investiga­tion Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Divisi­on have charged a man in a relation to a robbery that occurr­ed Wednesday evening in Halifax.

 

Just before 6 p.m. on June 7, officers responded to a report of a robbery at the Bowlarama located at 7071 Bayers Road.  Police were advised that the suspect was inside the establi­shment and approached the bar area indic­ating he had a weapon and obtained an un­disclosed sum of mon­ey.  The suspect then fled on foot with no known direction of travel.  The victim was not physically injured.  Patrol members conta­ined the area shortly after the incident, but the suspect was not located.

 

At about 6 p.m. on June 8, the suspect was arrested without incident at an addre­ss on Glenbourne Cou­rt in Halifax. Fifty­-two-year-old Darren Gerald Hall of Hali­fax has been charged with robbery and po­ssession of a weapon dangerous to the pu­blic peace. He is sc­heduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face these charges.
