Police have charged a man for a robbery that occurred in Halifax on Sunday evening.
On May 22 at approximately 8:55 p.m., officers responded to a report of a robbery at the Sobeys on Mumford Road. A man pushed a 77-year-old woman to the ground and stole her purse before fleeing on foot.
Yesterday, police released photos of the suspect and asked for the public’s assistance in identifying him.
After receiving information from the public, investigators arrested a 32-year-old man without incident in Halifax last night. He is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date to face one count of robbery.
We thank the public and media for their concern and assistance.
