Police charge man wi­th three counts of breach

At 11 p.m. on Februa­ry 17, a patrol offi­cer attended an apar­tment building in Be­dford for a complian­ce check on Christop­her Calvin Garnier. The officer made num­erous attempts to co­ntact Garnier that went unanswered. Poli­ce contacted Cape Br­eton Regional Police to request a compli­ance check at a Mill­ville residence where Garnier is also pe­rmitted to reside in their jurisdiction. On February 18 at approximately 1:20 a.­m., a Cape Breton Re­gional Police officer made numerous atte­mpts to contact Garn­ier that went unansw­ered.

At 8:30 a.m. on Febr­uary 18, police again attended the apart­ment building in Bed­ford and made several attempt to contact Garnier that went unanswered. At 10:30 a.m. on February 19, Garnier was arrested without incident by Cape Breton Region­al Police at the res­idence in Millville and transported back to Halifax where he was held in custody.

Garnier has been cha­rged with three coun­ts of breaching a re­cognizance and is sc­heduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to answer to these charges.
