Police charge pair after drug seizure, North Kentville, N.S.

The Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit (VISCEU) arrested a man and a woman last evening after drugs were seized by police. On April 13th at approximately 6 p.m.

The Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit (VISCEU) arrested a man and a woman last evening after drugs were seized by police.

On April 13th at approximately 6 p.m.

, members of the VISCEU with the assistance of Kings District RCMP arrested two adults after finding them in possession of hydromorphone on Rosedale Ave. Subsequent investigation allowed police to execute a search warrant at a residence on Charles Street in North Kentville where more hydromorphone was seized.

Leslie Charles Newell, 26, and Cheyanne Lynn Moors, 22, of North Kentville appeared in Kentville Provincial Court this morning. Both are facing charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking charges. Newell, who is facing eight additional weapons and breach charges under the Criminal Code, was remanded and will appear in Provincial Court Kentville on April 27, 2015. Moors is still before the court. The investigation is continuing.
