Police charge three people in relation to multiple incidents
Police have charged three people in relation to a number of thefts throughout the region over the last several months.
At approximately 9:30 a.m. on December 11 police received a report that a red Dodge Caravan had been stolen from a residence in the 5800 block of South Street in Halifax. Police located the vehicle traveling on Evans Avenue in Halifax shortly before 10 p.m. Officers arrested the three occupants of the vehicle without incident. One of the occupants was found in possession of a quantity of cocaine.
The three accused in the vehicle are also being charged in relation to a number of break enter and thefts that have occurred throughout the region over the last several months.
Randell Clifford Wyatt, 30, of Halifax is charged with:
- Theft of motor vehicle
- Possession of stolen property over $5,000
- Possession of stolen property under $5,000 (x 2)
- Break and enter (x 3)
- Break and enter with intent to commit an offence
- Theft of mail (x 4)
Brittany Marie Martin, 32, of Lower Sackville is charged with:
- Theft of motor vehicle
- Theft under $5,000
- Possession of stolen property over $5000
- Possession of stolen property under $5000
- Possession of a controlled substance
- Breach of recognizance
Lytora Macurthur, 26, of Kingston, Nova Scotia is charged with:
- Theft of motor vehicle
- Possession of stolen property over $5,000
- Possession of stolen property under $5,000
- Break and enter
- Break and enter with intent to commit an offence
All three accused are scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face the charges.
