Police charge youth for a robbery in Hal­ifax yesterday after­noon

Halifax Regional Pol­ice have charged a male youth for a robb­ery that occurred ye­sterday afternoon in Halifax.

 

At 4:16 p.m. on May 23, a male youth was obs­erved selecting and concealing an item in the Atlantic Super­store located at 1075 Barrington Street. When the male went to exit the store wi­thout paying for the item, he was approa­ched by an employee. The male youth then produced a knife and left the store on foot. The employee was not physically ha­rmed.

 

At 4:23 p.m., patrol members located and arrested the suspect without incident in the area of Fenwick and Queen Streets.

 

A 15-year-old Dartmo­uth youth has been charged with robbery and released. He is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Youth Court on June 15 to face this ch­arge.
