Police continue to investigate a suspicious death that occurred this weekend in Dartmouth.

On February 4 at approximately 11:20 p.m. police responded to a report of a shooting on Lahey Road. Officers located a man outside of a residence who had been shot. A 36-year-old man was pronounced deceased at the scene.  

Members from the Special Investigations Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are continuing to investigate the case. At this time, investigators do not believe that this was a random incident.

The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service is conducting an autopsy today. Further updates will be provided when available.
