Police continue to investigate the 1993 murder of Shelley Connors

It’s been 25 years since 17-year-old Shelley Denise Connors was murdered and investigators are asking anyone with information that can help solve the case to come forward.

Shelley disappeared on the afternoon of May 29, 1993. She was last seen leaving the apartment where she lived with her family in Spryfield. When she hadn’t returned or called the next day, her worried family reported her missing to police. On June 1, officers found Shelley’s body, which had been partially covered with leaves and branches, in a wooded area approximately 182 metres (200 yards) behind the Spryfield Lions Rink at 25 Drysdale Road in Halifax.

Investigators have continued to work the case, following up on leads and applying new technologies to find out who was responsible for murdering Shelley. They believe there are people who have information about Shelly’s death and they need them to do the right thing and come forward with what they know.
