Police continue to seek information on men’s homicides, Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM), N.S.

Today marks the one year anniversary of the homicides of Matthew Hebb and Earl Stewart.

Last year, on December 12th, emergency personnel responded to a 911 call near the 450 block of Highway 374 after witnesses observed a fire at a camp near Sheet Harbour.

Upon further investigation, fire officials found the bodies of two men, 22-year-old Matthew Allan Hebb and 59-year-old Earl Stewart, both from Spryfield. Both deaths were confirmed to be homicides. The Halifax Regional Police/RCMP Integrated Major Crime unit arrested two people on December 18th, 2012 in relation to the homicides. Those individuals were later released without charges.
