RCMP release:
RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment has charged a man after a robbery in Enfield.
On October 12, at approximately 4:40 a.m., RCMP officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at a business in the 6700 block of Hwy. 2. Officers learned a man with mace robbed the store of a quantity of cigarettes and cash before fleeing on foot.
RCMP officers used a remote piloted aircraft system and later located and arrested 28-year-old Daniel Albert Gibson of Enfield. Upon arrest, he took off on foot and a conducted energy weapon was deployed.
Gibson was transported to hospital by EHS for treatment and later released into police custody.

Gibson is due to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on October 14.
