Man steals perfume products, cops bring in K-9

Who better to find fragrance products?

Investigators with the Halifax Regional Police Patrol Division along with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are investigating a robbery that occurred in Halifax last night.

At 11:30 p.m. hours, a male suspect entered the Shoppers Drug Mart store located at 3430 Joseph Howe Drive, in Halifax. The suspect approached the fragrance counter, and placed a number of bottles of fragrance in a bag. An employee approached the suspect who then threatened to harm him with a knife if he came closer. The suspect then fled on foot to the area of Westerwald Street. 

Patrol officers arrived on scene and located a vehicle in the area, officers approached the vehicle and a suspect fled on foot, after a short pursuit the suspect was apprehended by a K-9 unit. 

A male subject has been charged with Robbery, a second suspect fled from the vehicle and was not located.
