Police find drugs, firearms and brass knuckles in separate searches

Members of the HRP/RCMP Integrated Drug Unit executed a search warrant at a residence located in the 2000 Block of Gottigen St. in Halifax at approximately 7:20 PM.

A quantity of cocaine, cash and drug paraphernalia was seized as a result of the search that was conducted without incident. A 31 year old female from the Halifax area has been charged under section 5.2 of the Controlled Drug and Substances Act. The accused has been released and will appear in court at a later date.

Firearm Search

At 7:30 PM – Members of the HRP / RCMP Guns & Gangs Unit with the assistance of the Halifax Regional Police –  Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at a residence in the 0-200 Block of Braemar Dr. in Dartmouth. As a result of the search police seized a quantity of drugs, a replica handgun, a bullet proof vest, and a prohibited weapon -brass knuckles. Several persons were taken into custody in relation to this matter but have since been released. This matter remains under investigation at this time, drug and weapons related charges are anticipated.
