Police have charged a Halifax man with the 2016 murder of Tyler Ronald Joseph Keizer.

On November 21, 2016, at approximately 10:45 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of gunshots in the area of Falkland and Gottingen Streets in Halifax. When officers arrived, they located Tyler Keizer, who had been shot, in a vehicle. He was transported to the QEII Health Sciences Centre with life-threatening injuries and later succumbed to his injuries. An autopsy was conducted and the Medical Examiner ruled Tyler’s death a homicide.

Yesterday at approximately 1 p.m., investigators arrested twenty-seven-year-old Adam Joseph Drake in Halifax. He will appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face a charge of first degree murder.

Investigators believe there are additional people who have information about Tyler’s murder, and hope that this arrest and the passage of time will encourage them to do the right thing and come forward with what they know.
