Police have two people in custody after a break and enter in Hammonds Plains.
At 9:47 a.m., RCMP officers received a call that when a homeowner arrived at his residence on Lake Mist Drive.
He found a car running and a television was in the trunk. The suspects took off and RCMP and HRP officers set up a containment area with the assistance of a police service dog. At 10:42 a.m., Halifax Regional Police located two males matching the description of the suspects and they were taken into custody. Police also recovered a large screen television and other household valuables from a vehicle that was abandoned.
Two Halifax men, ages 22 and 18, will be facing charges under the Criminal Code including Break and Enter, Possession of Stolen Property and one male was breaching his Conditional Sentence Order. They will be appearing in Halifax Provincial Court tomorrow morning.
