Police investigate after home invasion in Halifax

Shortly before 2:00am, police responded to an address on Acadia Street, Halifax for a report of 2 males forcing entry into the residence. The males were wearing black bandanas and black clothing and one of them was armed with a knife. Prior to police arrival the males fled the residence in a vehicle which was observed by a responding officer not far from the residence. The vehicle was stopped and 4 suspects were taken into custody. A resident of the home received a non-life threatening injury during the incident and was transported to QEII by EHS where he was treated and released. This matter is currently being investigated by the Integrated General Investigations Unit and charges are anticipated. Police do not believe this to be a random incident.
