At 10:47 pm Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of gunshots in the area of Falkland Street and Gottingen Street in Halifax.
When members arrived they located a male in a vehicle who had been shot. The victim was transported to the QE2 Health Science Centre with life threatening injuries.
The victim a 22 year old male from Halifax later died from his injuries. Members of the Forensic Identification Section as well as the Integrated Major Crime Unit are continuing the investigation.
