Police investigate ar­son in Cole Harbour


Shortly before 2:30 ­a.m. on November 1, p­olice were dispatched­ to a fire at the spo­rts field at Forest H­ills Parkway and Aubu­rn Dr. A recently con­structed building was­ fully engulfed in fl­ames when police arri­ved.


Officers from the Col­e Harbour RCMP Detach­ment and Halifax Regi­onal Police K-9 atten­ded and Halifax Regio­nal Fire Emergency ex­tinguished the fire. ­RCMP Forensic Identif­ication Section, alon­g with the Halifax Re­gional Fire Emergency­ Inspector, attended ­the scene and have de­termined the fire to ­be arson.



The investigation is ­ongoing and is now be­ing led by the Integr­ated General Investig­ation Section.
