Police investigate armed robbery


At 6:46 a.m. this morning, Halifax District RCMP responded to an armed robbery at a residence located in the same building as a business on Highway 7 in Porters Lake.


Two male suspects entered the business carrying firearms and assaulted the victims, before leaving. As a result, both victims were transported to the Twin Oaks Hospital in Musquodoboit Harbour with non-life threatening injuries.


The investigation is in its early stages with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division leading the investigation with assistance from the RCMP Forensics Identification Section, Halifax District RCMP and Halifax Regional Police K-9.
