Police investigate armed robbery at Upper Tantallon business

Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in Upper Tantallon.

At 11:37 p.m. last night, Halifax District RCMP responded to the report of a robbery at a business on Hammonds Plain Rd. Two male suspects wearing masks entered the business and demanded money. One of the suspects was carrying a firearm. They left with an undetermined amount of cash in a grey SUV. The suspects are believed to be in their mid 20’s.

RCMP conducted extensive patrols of the area attempting to stop the vehicle that sped away on the Lucasville Rd. but the suspects were not located. The investigation is ongoing and is now being led by the Integrated General Investigation Section.
