Police investigate armed robbery, Lake Echo, N.S.

Police are investigating an armed robbery at a restaurant on Highway 7 that occurred just after 10 p.m. last evening.

Members from Halifax District RCMP responded to an armed robbery at Crazy Weasel Pizza on Highway 7 in Lake Echo.

Three masked men entered the business and robbed two employees at gun point. The employees were not injured and there were no customers in the restaurant at the time of the robbery. The suspects fled the scene. A short time later, officers arrested a 19-year-old male. The male remains in police custody.

The investigation is ongoing by members of the General Investigation Section of Integrated Criminal Investigation Division.

Investigators are asking anyone who might have seen suspicious activity in the area prior to or following the robbery to contact them.
