Police investigate arson


Investigators with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are investigating a suspicious fire that occurred this morning in Halifax.


At 8:05 a.m. on October 11, officers responded to a report of suspicious fire in a hallway of a vacant building located at 5517/5519 Bilby Street. Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency responded earlier and had extinguished the fire. Fire investigators notified police that the fire was suspicious. No one was injured in this fire.


Investigators are asking anyone with information about this incident to call police at 902-490-5016. Anonymous tips can be sent to Crime Stoppers by calling toll-free 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), submitting a secure web tip at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca or texting a tip – Tip 202 + your message to 274637.
