On August 11, 2018 at approximately 11:30 p.m. Halifax Regional Police responded to the 1100 block of Old Sambro Road, Harrietsfield to assist with traffic while Halifax Regional Fire Service responded to a structure fire.
The commercial building was not occupied at the time and no one was injured. There was significant damage to the building as a result of the fire.
Overnight the Halifax Regional Fire Service Investigators notified Police that the cause of the fire was believed to be arson. The Integrated Criminal Investigation Division is in the early stages of their investigation.
