Members of the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are investigating an assault with a weapon that occurred this morning in Dartmouth.
At approximately 8:11 a.m., police responded to a report of an injured person in the Victoria Road area of Dartmouth. Officers located a 31-year-old man suffering from a stab wound to his face. Emergency Health Services transported the man to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Through the course of the investigation, officers believe an altercation took place inside an apartment on Jackson Road involving the victim and two men and a woman. The incident is not believed to be random.
