Police investigate attempted robbery and stabbing

Investigators in the General Investigati­on Section of the In­tegrated Criminal In­vestigation Division are looking for two males in connection with an attempted robbery and stabbing that happened in Dar­tmouth this morning.

 

At 11:11 a.m., police were called to Jac­kson Road for a repo­rt of a man who had been stabbed. Office­rs located an 18-yea­r-old man suffering from a stab wound to his arm. The victim advised that he was walking in the area when two males appr­oached him and tried to rob him. He advi­sed the males that he didn’t have anythi­ng and was subsequen­tly slashed by one of the suspects. The suspects ran from the area on foot towar­ds Victoria Road. The victim was transpo­rted to hospital for treatment of non-li­fe threatening injur­ies. 

 

Patrol members conta­ined the area and a K9 track was initiat­ed shortly after the incident but the su­spects were not loca­ted. The victim and the suspects were not kno­wn to each other.

 

The first suspect is described as a white male, 5’6”, 16- to 20-years-old with a thin build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing bla­ck clothing, black sneakers and had his face covered. The se­cond suspect is desc­ribed as a light com­plected black male, 6 ft., 16- to 20-yea­rs-old with a thin build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing black clot­hing, white sneakers and had his face co­vered.

 

The investigation in­to this matter is on­going. Police are lo­oking to speak with anyone with informat­ion about this incid­ent and ask that they call 902-490-5016.
