Police investigate break and enter with violence, Lower Sackville, N.S.

The General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division is currently investigating a break enter and assault that occurred yesterday evening.

At approximately 8:30 p.m. Halifax District RCMP responded to the Cobequid Community Heath Centre for a report of a victim suffering from stab wounds. A preliminary investigation determined that two suspects entered an apartment on the 600 block of Sackville Dr. and assaulted the two male occupants with a tire iron and a knife. Both occupants sustained non-life threatening injuries and were able to leave the apartment and seek medical attention.

The investigation is ongoing. Police do not believe that this incident is random in nature.
