Update:
Police Investigate Break & Enter with Firearm – Dartmouth
The second suspect surrendered to police on Roleika Drive. Police are no longer searching for any further suspects.
At 5:00 p.m., 21 March, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a Break & Enter in progress into a residence in the 200 block of Prince Arthur Road Dartmouth.
A witness caught two suspects at the residence, one armed with a handgun. The witness was able to disarm the suspect, as both suspects fled in a black pickup truck.
No one was injured was injured during this incident. The suspects are described as:
Suspect #1 – White Male, mid 20’s, 5’9”-5’11”, 180 lbs, Dark hair, clean shaven
Wearing: Black Hat, black, t-shit, black jacket gold chain, black t-shirt
Suspect #2 - White Male, 6’0”, thin build, scruffy facial hair,
Wearing: 3/4 parka.
Vehicle - Black Chevrolet Colorado, older model.
At 5:30 p.m., Police located the suspect vehicle in the 0-100 block of Roleika Drive Dartmouth and secured a residence at that location.
At6:30 p.m. the Emergency Response Team located and arrested Suspect #1 inside the residence. Police have released the residence and are still searching for the second suspect.
Investigators with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are conducting the investigation which is in the early stages.
