Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a truck vs pedestrian collision at the intersection of Dartmouth Rd and Bedford Highway in Bedford. A pickup truck driven by a 47 year old woman was turning left from Bedford Highway onto Dartmouth Rd on a left turn signal and struck a female pedestrian within the crosswalk and drug her for approximately 25 feet. The 19 year old pedestrian was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. HRP patrol and Forensic Identification Section members closed Dartmouth Rd for a period of time to conduct the investigation but it has since reopened. A decision on charges will be made at the completion of the investigation
