Police investigate fatal ATV crash, Fort Lawrence, N.S.

Police are investigating a fatal ATV crash that claimed the life of a Cumberland County woman.

At 7:30 p.m. this evening, RCMP responded to a 911 call of an ATV crash on Lawrence Road, Fort Lawrence.

Preliminary investigation revealed the lone driver of the ATV was driving through a field when she lost control of the ATV which caused it to flip over and land on her.

A 53-year-old Fort Lawrence woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
