Police are investigating a hit and run that occurred in Halifax yesterday.

At approximately 4:05 p.m., police responded to a vehicle-pedestrian collision in the 2700 block of Clifton Street, in Halifax. A vehicle struck an adult and a child in a stroller while they were crossing the street in an unmarked crosswalk. The driver of the vehicle briefly stopped but then left the area, southbound on Clifton Street.
The child was transported to hospital by EHS with minor injuries. The adult also sustained minor injuries.
The vehicle involved is a 2016 black Jeep Cherokee. The driver is described as a white man, tan complexion, between 40 to 50 years old and was wearing a yellow t-shirt, possibly a construction shirt.
Investigators are looking to locate and speak with the driver.
