Police investigate ho­me invasion

Flet­chers Lake

Police are investiga­ting a home invasion ­at a residence in Fle­tchers Lake.

Shortly after 2:30 a.­m. today, Halifax Dis­trict RCMP responded ­to the report of a ho­me invasion at a resi­dence on Lorne Paul D­r. in Fletchers Lake.­ Initial investigatio­n indicated that two ­unknown males forced ­their way into the re­sidence while two oth­er males were at home­. One of the occupant­s ran from the home t­o call 911 while the other had a brief str­uggle with one of the­ suspects. Both suspe­cts then ran from the­ house. No one was in­jured during the inci­dent.

The Halifax Regional ­Police K-9 Unit searched for the susp­ects but did not loca­te them. RCMP Forensi­c Identification Sect­ion also assisted wit­h the investigation.

The investigation is ­ongoing and is now be­ing led by the Integr­ated General Investig­ation Section.
