Police investigate homicide in North Preston, Nova Scotia

April 24, 2011, Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) . . . Royal Canadian Mounted Police/Halifax Regional Police Major Crime Unit is investigating a homicide in North Preston, Nova Scotia.

 
On April 24 2011, 6:26 PM RCMP received a 911 call that a male had been shot on Churchill Terrace, in the community of North Preston. The victim, a 22-year-old, was shot and was pronounced deceased prior to arrival at the hospital.
 
RCMP/HRP Major Crime will be continuing to investigate with the assistance of the Forensic Identification Section.
 
It is early in the investigation. Police are not releasing any other details at this time.  An update is expected by tomorrow morning.
