Police investigate indecent acts – Update

A man sought by police for two indecent acts has been identified and arrested.

On November 27 at 2:08 p.m., officers responded to a report of a man masturbating at the World Trade and Convention Centre (WTCC) located at 1800 Argyle Street. Despite a search of the area, he wasn’t located.  At 3:57 p.m., while officers were dealing with this call, another report was received from Parklane Mall located at 5657 Spring Garden Road for a man masturbating on the mall’s third floor. The man also left the area before police arrival and wasn’t located. After reviewing video surveillance from both locations, it is believed that the same man is involved in both calls. Police subsequently released pictures of the man taken from the video surveillance earlier today.

At 3 p.m., the 20-year-old suspect from Upper Sackville turned himself in at Police Headquarters. He was subsequently arrested and later released to appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date to face two counts of committing an indecent act.
