At 1:40 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a motorcycle & vehicle collision at Victoria Road and the 111 Highway, Dartmouth. A motorcycle travelling North bound on Victoria Road collided with a car in the centre/median lane, a van then collided with the motorcycle.
An adult male operating the motorcycle sustained life threatening injuries and has been transported to the hospital.
The investigation is in the early stages and investigators with the Accident Investigation and Forensic Identification Section and are conducting the investigation. At this time it is not known if charges are pending.
Traffic Blocked: North bound traffic on Victoria Road is blocked to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Traffic is being diverted to the 111 Highway. Victoria Road North bound lanes will remain blocked for an extended period of time.
The motorcycle driver is a 30 year old male from Dartmouth. Traffic is still blocked North bound on Victoria Road. No further update on the investigation.
