At 11:38 a.m., police responded to a physical disturbance at Halifax West High School located at 283 Thomas Raddall Drive in Halifax. There was a group of students involved in the disturbance outside the school and a large crowd of students had gathered to watch. Upon arrival, officers located one male student who had been apparently punched in the face. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was assessed by EHS on scene and released.
There may have been damage to vehicles resulting from this incident, however, police are still on scene and the investigation is ongoing. There have been no charges at this time.
