Police investigate robbery at restaurant in Cole Harbour

June 21, 2011, Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) . . . Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) are investigating a robbery that occurred in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia.
 
On June 20, 2011, 10:48 PM,  RCMP responded to a robbery at the Subway Store, 4 Forest Hills Parkway in Cole Harbour.  A man jumped the counter and threatened the employee with a knife.  The suspect demanded money and the employee emptied the cash till.  The man fled from the business.  A police dog tracked the suspect for a distance and located a mask.  The suspect was not located and is believed to have been picked up by a vehicle.
 
The suspect is described as:
Male, 20-25 years old
6 ft 
190 lbs
Wearing a grey hooded sweater and pants
 
The HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section is now investigating.
 
Police are asking anyone with information about this or any other incident to come forward. People are asked to contact any RCMP office, Halifax Regional Police, or Crime Stoppers anonymously anytime at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or by Secure Web Tips at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca. Calls to Crime Stoppers are not taped or traced. If police make an arrest and lay charges based on a tip, callers qualify for a cash award from $50 – $2000.
