Police Investigate Robbery in Halifax

Police are looking for a woman who robbed a convenience store in Halifax this morning.

Shortly before 11 a.m. this morning police responded to a robbery that had occurred at Needs Convenience located at 6130 Chebucto Road in Halifax. The suspect came into the store, covered her face and then demanded money from the clerk stating she had a weapon. No weapon was seen. She then left the area with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a white woman in her 20s, blonde hair, approximately 5’ tall, with a heavy build. At the time of the incident, the woman was wearing a gray hood sweatshirt with the word “Shady” on the front. She was also wearing jeans, sneakers and had a black backpack.

Investigators with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are asking anyone with information about this incident to call police at 902-490-5020.
