Police Investigate Second Robbery at Gas Station

 

Police are currently investigating two robberies which occurred at the same Dartmouth gas station in a nine-hour period.
This morning at 6:48 a.m., staff at the Petro Canada service station located at 240 Victoria Road contacted police to report a man had entered the store, produced a knife and demanded cash. The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect is described as a black male with a slender build and wearing black pants, a black coat with a hood and dark shoes.
 
Last night at 9:46 p.m., a staff member at the same Petro Canada service station contacted police to report a man entered the store and pushed the cashier, grabbed cash from the register and then left the area on foot. Thankfully the staff member did not sustain any injuries during the incident. The suspect is described as a black male, 5’5”, wearing a black jacket and dark blue mask.
 
The HRP/RCMP General Investigative Section is investigating both files. Investigators are exploring the possibility that the two robberies are connected and the matter remains under investigation.
