Police investigate shooting incident, North Preston, N.S.


The General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division is currently investigating a shooting that occurred last evening.

At approximately 2:30 a.m., Halifax District RCMP responded to a complaint of gunshots fired near the intersection of Grant Hill Ln. and Upper Governor St. in North Preston. A preliminary investigation has determined that numerous shots were fired in the area and one bullet hole was located in the siding of a residence on Grant Hill Ln. No one was injured as a result of this incident.

The investigation is ongoing with the assistance of the Forensic Identification Section.

Investigators are asking anyone with information on this shooting to call Halifax District RCMP at 902-244-7208 or Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or by texting TIP202 +your message to `CRIMES`(274637) or by Secure Web Tips at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca Calls to Crime Stoppers are not taped or traced and if police make an arrest and lay charges based on a tip, callers qualify for a cash award.
